At Cellar & Ale, we believe great wine, craft beer, and good company bring people together. Opened in May 2023 by Stacey and Sarah, our cozy spot in the heart of Matthews, NC, was born from a love of this town and a shared passion for quality drinks, delicious bites, and a welcoming atmosphere.

From hand-selecting wines and craft beers to crafting a menu of perfect pairings, we pour our hearts into every detail. But Cellar & Ale is more than just a place to sip and snack—it’s a space to unwind, connect, and explore. That’s why we’ve added a curated book section for fellow readers, along with a retail nook featuring our logo merchandise, local goods, and unique finds, including handmade earrings by Sarah.
